14Now we exhort you, brothers, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
7So that you come short in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8Who shall also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
14Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15And consider that the patience of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given to him has written to you;
15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.
1Therefore, when we could no longer endure it, we thought it best to be left alone at Athens;
2And sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith:
3That no one should be unsettled by these afflictions, for you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.
3Knowing this, that the testing of your faith produces patience.
17That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
5For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know about your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.
6But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, as we also to see you:
7Therefore, brothers, we were comforted concerning you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
8For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.
1Furthermore, then, we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.
2For you know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
7For we have great joy and solace in your love, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.
8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,
4And such trust we have through Christ toward God:
10But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,
15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints,
1Now we beseech you, brothers, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
4Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have for all the saints,
4And patience, character; and character, hope:
5And this they did, not as we expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.
8Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him.
7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
10But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
