8So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to impart to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear to us.
9For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: for working night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
19But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.
20For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.
1After these things, Paul departed from Athens and came to Corinth.
13Whom I wished to keep with me, so that he might minister to me in your place in my chains for the gospel:
22So he sent into Macedonia two of those who ministered to him, Timothy and Erastus, but he stayed in Asia for a while.
2But even after we had suffered before and were shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much contention.
14There we found brethren and were invited to stay with them seven days. And so we went toward Rome.
15And from there, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as the Forum of Appius and The Three Taverns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.
28For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
23Moreover, I call God as a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I did not come yet to Corinth.
3Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain regarding this matter; that, as I said, you may be ready:

15And after those days we gathered our belongings and went up to Jerusalem.
7So that you became examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
