15What shall we do to Queen Vashti according to law, because she has not performed the commandment of King Ahasuerus by the eunuchs?
1On that day, King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had revealed who he was to her.
14And while they were still talking with him, the king's chamberlains came, and hurried to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
5In the same hour, fingers of a man's hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace, opposite the lampstand; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
6Then the king's face changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened, and his knees knocked against each other.

10Then the king said to Haman, Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that you have spoken.
1Now in the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's command and his decree came to be executed, on the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned around, so the Jews had power over those who hated them;)
2The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, to lay hands on those who sought their harm: and no one could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
12Then the king's scribes were called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and it was written according to all that Haman had commanded to the king's lieutenants, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province, according to its writing and to every people in their language; in the name of King Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.
7And the king, arising from the wine banquet in his wrath, went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to plead for his life to Queen Esther; for he saw that evil was determined against him by the king.
8Then the king returned from the palace garden to the place of the wine banquet; and Haman had fallen on the couch where Esther was. Then the king said, Will he also assault the queen before me in the house? As the words came out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
1After these things, when the wrath of King Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
2Then the king's servants who served him said, "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king."
6And he thought it scornful to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had shown him the people of Mordecai. Therefore, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.
19If it pleases the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it shall not be altered, that Vashti shall no more come before King Ahasuerus, and let the king give her royal estate to another who is better than she.
15Then these men assembled to the king, and said to the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.

5And said, If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the matter is right before the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king's provinces.
26Therefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore, for all the words of this letter, and what they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come to them,
19And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, Mordecai sat in the king's gate.
12And they told Mordecai Esther's words.
8Then all the king's wise men came in, but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation.
10Now the queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet hall. The queen spoke and said, "O king, live forever! Let not your thoughts trouble you, nor let your face be changed.
5Then Esther called for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend to her, and ordered him to go to Mordecai to learn what this was and why it was.
11On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
9Then the king's scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, and to the governors and officials and rulers of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, one hundred twenty-seven provinces, to every province according to its script, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing and language.
