18 Go therefore now, and work; for no straw shall be given you, yet you shall deliver the quota of bricks.
19 And the officers of the children of Israel realized they were in trouble when it was said, You shall not diminish anything from your bricks of your daily task.
4 And the king of Egypt said to them, Why do you, Moses and Aaron, take the people away from their work? Go back to your burdens.
5 And Pharaoh said, Look, the people of the land are now many, and you make them rest from their burdens.
6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying,
7 You shall no longer give the people straw to make bricks as before: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
3 And they said to one another, Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and tar they had for mortar.
5 And they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded to be done."
6 And Moses gave the command, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." So the people were restrained from bringing.

5 And let them deliver it into the hand of those who do the work, who have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to those who do the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,
6 To carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and cut stone to repair the house.
8 They lie down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
11 Therefore they set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
8 In that you provoke me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to dwell, that you might cut yourselves off, and that you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
5 Do not cover their iniquity, and do not let their sin be blotted out from before you: for they have provoked you to anger before the builders.
13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for mere vanity?
28 And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifices to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
8 Moreover I make a decree as to what you shall do for the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that from the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, expenses be given to these men, so that they are not hindered.
6 And do not go after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no harm.'
35 On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly: you shall do no servile work in it:
10 And Judah said, The strength of the laborers is failing, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
15 Moreover there are workmen with you in abundance, stone cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of skillful men for every kind of work.
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
2 For if you refuse to let them go, and continue to hold them,
8 Be it known to the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is being built with great stones, and timber is being laid in the walls, and this work is going on rapidly and prospers in their hands.
5 Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them and not build them up.
