Shall the women eat their offspring, the children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord? 21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men have fallen by the sword; You have slain them in the day of Your anger; You have killed, and not pitied. 22 You have called as on a solemn day my terrors all around, so that in the day of the Lord's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have nurtured and brought up my enemy has consumed.

  • Ezek 24:21 : 21 Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and the delight your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left shall fall by the sword.
