2Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch among the trees of the forest?
13On its ruin all the birds of the heavens will dwell, and all the beasts of the field will be on its branches:
14So that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, nor set their top among the thick boughs, nor any tree stand up to its height, all that drink water; for they are all delivered to death, to the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.
8Yes, the pine trees rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since you are laid down, no woodcutter comes up against us.
8The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it; the fir trees were not like its boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like its branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like it in beauty.

14He cried aloud, and said this, 'Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit; let the beasts get away from under it, and the birds from its branches.
18For wickedness burns like the fire; it will devour the briers and thorns and will kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they will mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
24And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
11And she had strong rods for scepters of those who bore rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.
1Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars.
2Howl, fir tree, for the cedar has fallen; because the mighty are destroyed. Howl, O oaks of Bashan, for the forest of the vintage has come down.
16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which He has planted;
9Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars;
14He cuts down cedars, and takes the cypress and the oak, which he strengthens for himself among the trees of the forest: he plants an ash, and the rain nourishes it.

13And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
12Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it: then shall all the trees of the forest rejoice
29For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be confounded for the gardens that you have chosen.
14And fire has gone out from a rod of her branches, which has devoured her fruit, so that she has no strong rod to be a scepter to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
6Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Like the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
13Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
15And the vineyard which your right hand has planted, and the branch that you made strong for yourself.
7Among the bushes they brayed, under the nettles they gathered together.
19I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
23And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
16His roots shall be dried up below, and above his branch shall be cut off.
6His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his fragrance as Lebanon.
24By your servants you have reproached the Lord, and have said, By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice fir trees: and I will enter the height of its border, the forest of its Carmel.
18do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
15Shall the ax boast against him who cuts with it? Or shall the saw magnify itself against him who shakes it? As if the rod should shake itself against those who lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were not wood.
21whose leaves were beautiful, and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the birds of the heaven had their habitation,
