1I saw the Lord standing upon the altar, and he said, Strike the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake; and cut them in the head, all of them. I will slay the last of them with the sword; he who flees from them shall not flee away, and he who escapes of them shall not be delivered.
14That in the day I visit the transgressions of Israel upon him, I will also visit the altars of Bethel; and the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground.
1And the angel who talked with me came again and woke me, as a man who is awakened from his sleep,
2And said to me, What do you see? And I said, I have looked, and behold, a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl on top of it, and its seven lamps on it, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are on top of it:
3Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.
5And as I was considering, behold, a he goat came from the west across the face of the whole earth, and did not touch the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran at him in the fury of his power.
7And I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and struck the ram, and broke his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him; and there was none that could deliver the ram from his hand.
8Therefore the he goat became very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and in its place came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
9And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which grew exceedingly great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious land.
14So the angel who spoke with me said to me, Proclaim, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal.
15And I am very displeased with the nations at ease; for I was a little angry, and they helped forward the affliction.
21Because you have pushed with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till you have scattered them abroad;
14Then the LORD said to me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15For behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the LORD; and they shall come, and every one shall set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.
20The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
