You who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

10And the pride of Israel bears witness to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
19You say, Lo, you have struck the Edomites; and your heart is lifted up to boast; stay now at home; why should you meddle to your hurt, that you should fall, even you, and Judah with you?
12They have denied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:
8Behold, you trust in deceptive words that cannot profit.
13You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those that are around us.
