And whoever touches anything that is unclean by the dead, or a man who has an emission of seed; 5 Or whoever touches any creeping thing, by which he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatever uncleanness he has; 6 The soul who has touched any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he washes his flesh with water. 7 And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and afterward may eat of the holy things; because it is his food. 8 What dies of itself, or is torn by beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself with it: I am the LORD. 9 They shall therefore keep my ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die thereby, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them. 10 No stranger shall eat of the holy thing: a temporary resident of the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. 11 But if the priest buys any one with his money, he may eat of it, and he who is born in his house: they may eat of his food. 12 If the priest's daughter also is married to a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things. 13 But if the priest's daughter is a widow, or divorced, and has no child, and is returned unto her father's house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father's food: but no stranger shall eat thereof. 14 And if a man eats of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall add the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it to the priest with the holy thing. 15 And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD; 16 Or cause them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

- Lev 27:9-9 : 9 And if it is a beast, of which men bring an offering to the LORD, all that any man gives of such to the LORD shall be holy. 10 He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he changes beast for beast, then both it and the exchange thereof shall be holy. 11 And if it is any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice to the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest: 12 And the priest shall value it, whether it is good or bad: as you value it, who are the priest, so shall it be. 13 But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part of it to your estimation. 14 And when a man sanctifies his house to be holy to the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it is good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand. 15 And if he who sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it, and it shall be his. 16 And if a man sanctifies to the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then your estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: a homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver. 17 If he sanctifies his field from the year of Jubilee, according to your estimation it shall stand. 18 But if he sanctifies his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain, to the year of the Jubilee, and it shall be abated from your estimation. 19 And if he who sanctified the field will in any way redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it, and it shall be assured to him. 20 And if he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more. 21 But the field, when it goes out in the Jubilee, shall be holy to the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's. 22 And if a man sanctifies to the LORD a field which he has bought, which is not of the fields of his possession; 23 Then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of your estimation, even to the year of the Jubilee: and he shall give your estimation in that day, as a holy thing to the LORD. 24 In the year of the Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belonged. 25 And all your estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel. 26 Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD'S firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD'S. 27 And if it is of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to your estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: or if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your estimation. 28 Nevertheless no devoted thing that a man shall devote to the LORD of all that he has, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy to the LORD. 29 None devoted, which shall be devoted by men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death. 30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy to the LORD. 31 And if a man will at all redeem anything of his tithes, he shall add to it the fifth part thereof. 32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the LORD. 33 He shall not search whether it is good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he changes it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

- Num 18:9-9 : 9 This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, every grain offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render to me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons. 10 In the most holy place you shall eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy to you. 11 And this is yours; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, by a statute forever: everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it. 12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer to the LORD, them have I given you. 13 And whatever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring to the LORD, shall be yours; everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it. 14 Everything devoted in Israel shall be yours. 15 Everything that opens the womb in all flesh, which they bring to the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be yours: nevertheless the firstborn of man you shall surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts you shall redeem. 16 And those that are to be redeemed from a month old you shall redeem, according to your estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. 17 But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy: you shall sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet aroma to the LORD. 18 And the flesh of them shall be yours, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are yours. 19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to the LORD, have I given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, by a statute forever: it is a covenant of salt forever before the LORD to you and to your seed with you. 20 And the LORD spoke to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any part among them: I am your part and your inheritance among the children of Israel. 21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. 22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come near the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die. 23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance. 24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as a heave offering to the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said to them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 25 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 26 Thus speak to the Levites, and say to them, When you take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe. 27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned to you, as though it were the corn of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress. 28 Thus you also shall offer a heave offering to the LORD of all your tithes, which you receive of the children of Israel; and you shall give thereof the LORD'S heave offering to Aaron the priest. 29 Out of all your gifts you shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it. 30 Therefore you shall say to them, When you have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted to the Levites as the increase of the threshing floor, and as the increase of the winepress. 31 And you shall eat it in every place, you and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation. 32 And you shall bear no sin by reason of it, when you have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall you pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest you die.
- Deut 12:5-9 : 5 But you shall seek the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, to His habitation you shall come: 6 And there you shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the contributions of your hand, your vows, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks: 7 And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and rejoice in all to which you put your hand, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you. 8 You shall not do as we are doing here today, every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes. 9 For you have not yet come to the rest and the inheritance that the LORD your God is giving you. 10 But when you cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and when He gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you live in safety; 11 Then there will be a place which the LORD your God will choose to make His name dwell there; there you shall bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to the LORD: 12 And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, your sons, your daughters, your male servants, your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion or inheritance with you.

- Deut 15:19-20 : 19 All the firstborn males that come of your herd and of your flock you shall sanctify to the LORD your God: you shall do no work with the firstborn of your bull, nor shear the firstborn of your sheep. 20 You shall eat it before the LORD your God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, you and your household.
- Deut 26:1-9 : 1 And it shall be, when you come into the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell in it; 2 That you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which you shall bring of your land that the LORD your God gives you, and shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name there. 3 And you shall go to the priest that shall be in those days, and say to him, I declare this day to the LORD my God, that I have come to the country which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us. 4 And the priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God. 5 And you shall speak and say before the LORD your God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: 6 And the Egyptians mistreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage: 7 And when we cried to the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labor, and our oppression: 8 And the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: 9 And he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, even a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which you, O LORD, have given me. And you shall set it before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God: 11 And you shall rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God has given to you, and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you. 12 When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of your increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled; 13 Then you shall say before the LORD your God, I have removed the sacred things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandments which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed your commandments, neither have I forgotten them: 14 I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I taken away any of it for any unclean use, nor given any of it for the dead: but I have listened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that you have commanded me. 15 Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the land which you have given us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
