But as he went the people thronged him. 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, who had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed by any, 44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stopped. 45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and those who were with him said, Master, the multitude crowds you and presses you, and you ask, Who touched me? 46 And Jesus said, Somebody has touched me: for I perceive that power has gone out of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared to him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 And he said to her, Daughter, be of good comfort: your faith has made you whole; go in peace. 49 While he yet spoke, there comes one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Your daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. 51 And when he came into the house, he allowed no one to go in, except Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the girl. 52 And all wept, and mourned for her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeps. 53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. 54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Girl, arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose immediately: and he commanded to give her food. 56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no one what was done.
  • Mark 5:22-43 : 22 And, behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23 And begged him earnestly, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death: I pray you, come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. 24 And Jesus went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and thronged him. 25 And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood for twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things from many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may only touch his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that power had gone out of him, turned around in the crowd, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said to him, You see the multitude thronging you, and do you say, Who touched me? 32 And he looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace, and be healed of your affliction. 35 While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house some who said, Your daughter is dead: why trouble the Master any further? 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be afraid, only believe. 37 And he allowed no man to follow him, except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38 And he came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw the tumult, and those who wept and wailed greatly. 39 And when he came in, he said to them, Why do you make this commotion, and weep? The girl is not dead, but sleeping. 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he took the father and the mother of the girl, and those who were with him, and entered in where the girl was lying. 41 And he took the girl by the hand, and said to her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Girl, I say to you, arise. 42 And immediately the girl arose, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were astonished with great astonishment. 43 And he charged them strictly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
