- Rev 16:1-9 : 1 And I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God upon the earth. 2 And the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth; and there came a foul and painful sore upon the men who had the mark of the beast, and upon those who worshiped his image. 3 And the second angel poured out his bowl upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man, and every living soul died in the sea. 4 And the third angel poured out his bowl upon the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, O Lord, who are, and were, and shall be, because you have judged thus. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7 And I heard another from the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments. 8 And the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent to give Him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, 11 and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. 12 And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of demons, working miracles, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in Hebrew Armageddon. 17 And the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air; and a loud voice came from the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices and thunders and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as has not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And great hail fell upon men out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for the plague was exceedingly great.

- Isa 13:1-9 : 1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw. 2 Lift up a banner on the high mountain, exalt the voice to them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. 3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for my anger, even those who rejoice in my exaltation. 4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like that of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts musters the host of battle. 5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. 6 Howl; for the day of the LORD is near; it will come as a destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be feeble, and every man's heart will melt: 8 And they will be afraid: pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; they will be in pain as a woman in labor: they will be amazed at one another; their faces will be like flames. 9 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he will destroy the sinners out of it. 10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light: the sun will be darkened in its rising, and the moon will not cause its light to shine. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. 12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. 13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth will move out of its place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. 14 And it will be as the hunted roe, and as a sheep that no man takes up: every man will turn to his own people, and everyone will flee to his own land. 15 Everyone who is found will be thrust through; and everyone who is joined to them will fall by the sword. 16 Their children also will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be plundered, and their wives ravished. 17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who will not regard silver; and as for gold, they will not delight in it. 18 Their bows will dash the young men to pieces; and they will have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye will not spare children. 19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' excellency, will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It will never be inhabited, nor will it be dwelt in from generation to generation: nor will the Arabian pitch tent there; nor will the shepherds make their fold there. 21 But wild beasts of the desert will lie there; and their houses will be full of doleful creatures; and owls will dwell there, and satyrs will dance there. 22 And the wild beasts of the islands will cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
- Isa 21:1-9 : 1 The prophecy concerning the desert by the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through, so it comes from the desert, from a dreadful land. 2 A harsh vision is revealed to me; the treacherous one deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, O Elam! Besiege, O Media! All its sighing have I made to cease. 3 Therefore my loins are filled with pain; pangs have seized me, like the pangs of a woman in labor. I was bent over when I heard it; I was dismayed when I saw it. 4 My heart pounded, fearfulness frightened me; the night that I delighted in has been turned into terror for me. 5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, you princes, and anoint the shield. 6 For the Lord has said to me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he sees. 7 And he saw a chariot with a pair of horsemen, a chariot of donkeys, and a chariot of camels; and he listened diligently with great attention: 8 And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime, and I am stationed in my post every night: 9 And, behold, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the carved images of her gods he has shattered to the ground. 10 O my threshing and the grain of my floor: that which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, I have declared to you. 11 The prophecy concerning Dumah. He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what is left of the night? Watchman, what is left of the night? 12 The watchman said, The morning comes, and also the night; if you will inquire, inquire; return, come. 13 The prophecy concerning Arabia. In the forest in Arabia you will lodge, O you traveling companies of Dedanim. 14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him who was thirsty, they met the fugitive with bread. 15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the distress of war. 16 For the Lord has said to me, Within a year, according to the years of a hired worker, all the glory of Kedar will fail: 17 And the remaining number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, will be few, for the LORD God of Israel has spoken it.
- Isa 23:1-9 : 1 The burden concerning Tyre. Wail, you ships of Tarshish; for it is destroyed, so there is no house, no entrance: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them. 2 Be silent, you inhabitants of the island; you whom the merchants of Zidon, that cross over the sea, have filled. 3 And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a marketplace of nations. 4 Be ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea has spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I do not travail, nor bring forth children, neither do I rear young men, nor raise virgins. 5 As at the report concerning Egypt, so they shall be greatly pained at the report of Tyre. 6 Cross over to Tarshish; wail, you inhabitants of the island. 7 Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is from ancient days? her own feet shall carry her far away to sojourn. 8 Who has taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the honorable of the earth? 9 The LORD of hosts has purposed it, to mar the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth. 10 Flow through your land like a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more restraint. 11 He has stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD has given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy its strongholds. 12 And he said, You shall rejoice no more, O oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, cross over to Chittim; there also you shall have no rest. 13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not till the Assyrian founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness: they set up its towers, they raised up its palaces; and he brought it to ruin. 14 Wail, you ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste. 15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as a harlot. 16 Take a harp, go about the city, you harlot that has been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that you may be remembered. 17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her wages, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. 18 And her goods and her trade shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

- Isa 45:4-5 : 4 For Jacob My servant's sake, and Israel My chosen, I have even called you by your name: I have given you a title of honor, though you have not known Me. 5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me: I will strengthen you, though you have not known Me.
- Jer 25:29 : 29 For, behold, I begin to bring calamity on the city which is called by My name, and should you be completely unpunished? You shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, says the LORD of hosts.
- Jer 46:1-9 : 1 The word of the LORD which came to Jeremiah the prophet against the nations; 2 Against Egypt, against the army of Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah. 3 Prepare the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle. 4 Harness the horses; and get up, you horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets; polish the spears, and put on the armor. 5 Why have I seen them dismayed and turned back? Their mighty ones are beaten down, and have fled quickly, and do not look back: for fear is all around, says the LORD. 6 Do not let the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates. 7 Who is this that comes up like a flood, whose waters move like the rivers? 8 Egypt rises up like a flood, and his waters move like the rivers; and he says, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and its inhabitants. 9 Come up, you horses; and rage, you chariots; and let the mighty men come forth: the Ethiopians and the Libyans, who handle the shield; and the Lydians, who handle and bend the bow. 10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge himself on his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiated and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates. 11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shall you use many medicines; you shall not be cured. 12 The nations have heard of your shame, and your cry has filled the land: for the mighty man has stumbled against the mighty, and they have both fallen together. 13 The word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon would come and strike the land of Egypt. 14 Declare in Egypt, and proclaim in Migdol, and proclaim in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say, Stand fast, and prepare yourself; for the sword shall devour around you. 15 Why are your valiant men swept away? They stood not, because the LORD drove them. 16 He made many to fall, yes, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our birth, from the oppressing sword. 17 They cried there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he has passed the appointed time. 18 As I live, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come. 19 O daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish yourself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant. 20 Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction comes; it comes out of the north. 21 Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also have turned back, and have fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity has come upon them, and the time of their visitation. 22 The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. 23 They shall cut down her forest, says the LORD, though it cannot be comprehended; because they are more numerous than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. 24 The daughter of Egypt shall be ashamed; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north. 25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, says; Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all who trust in him: 26 And I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, says the LORD. 27 But do not fear, O my servant Jacob, and do not be dismayed, O Israel: for behold, I will save you from afar, and your descendants from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and ease, and no one shall make him afraid. 28 Fear not, O Jacob my servant, says the LORD: for I am with you; for I will make a complete end of all the nations where I have driven you: but I will not make a complete end of you, but correct you in measure; yet I will not leave you wholly unpunished.
- Zeph 3:8 : 8 Therefore wait for me, says the LORD, until the day that I rise up for the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them my indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
