Da tok Joas, kongen av Juda, alle de hellige ting som Josafat, Joram og Ahasia, hans forfedre, konger av Juda, hadde helliget, sammen med alt han selv hadde helliget, og alt gullet som fantes i Herrens hus og i kongehuset, og sendte det til Hazael, kongen av Syria, som da holdt seg unna Jerusalem.
