  • Heb 9:9-9 : 9 This is a symbol for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered cannot perfect the worshiper in conscience. 10 They are only regulations concerning food and drink and various ceremonial washings, external ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ came as the high priest of the good things that are to come. He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood. He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so their bodies are outwardly clean, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we may serve the living God?

He takes away the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins. 12 But this One, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God. 13 From that time on, He waits until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. 14 For by one offering, He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First, He says: 16 "This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts and write them on their minds." 17 Then He adds: 'Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no longer.' 18 Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
