- Acts 17:31-32 : 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. - Acts 6:6 : 6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
- Acts 17:18 : 18 Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also debated with him. Some said, 'What is this babbler trying to say?' Others remarked, 'He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,' because he was preaching about Jesus and the resurrection.
- Acts 8:12-18 : 12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to Philip, and he marveled as he watched the signs and miracles that were happening. 14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit, 16 For the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. 18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money.
- Acts 8:36-38 : 36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, 'Look, here is water! What is stopping me from being baptized?' 37 Philip said, 'If you believe with all your heart, you may.' The eunuch answered, 'I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.' 38 He ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

- Acts 19:2-6 : 2 He asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They replied, "We haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." 3 Paul then asked, "Into what, then, were you baptized?" They answered, "Into John's baptism." 4 Paul said, "John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him—that is, in Jesus." 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

- Rom 2:5-9 : 5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will repay each person according to their deeds. 7 To those who seek glory, honor, and immortality by persistence in doing good, He will give eternal life. 8 But to those who are self-seeking, who disobey the truth and obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and anger. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does what is evil, first for the Jew, then also for the Gentile. 10 But glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, first for the Jew, then also for the Gentile.
- Rom 2:16 : 16 This will take place on the day when God judges the secrets of people through Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
- Rom 6:3-5 : 3 Or do you not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore, we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in the resurrection.
- 1 Cor 1:12-17 : 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, 'I follow Paul,' another, 'I follow Apollos,' another, 'I follow Cephas,' and still another, 'I follow Christ.' 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 So that no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 I also baptized the household of Stephanas; apart from that, I do not know if I baptized anyone else. 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.
- 1 Cor 10:2 : 2 They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.
- 1 Cor 12:13 : 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
- 1 Cor 15:13-57 : 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless, and so is your faith. 15 Furthermore, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that He raised Christ from the dead, but He did not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. 20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through a man. 22 For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, at His coming, those who belong to Christ. 24 Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father, after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For He has put everything under His feet. Now when it says that 'everything' has been put under Him, it is clear that this does not include God Himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subjected to the One who subjected everything to Him, so that God may be all in all. 29 Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them? 30 And why are we in danger every hour? 31 I face death every day—yes, as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32 If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus merely from a human point of view, what benefit is that to me? If the dead are not raised, 'Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.' 33 Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals.' 34 Wake up righteously, and do not sin, for some are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame. 35 But someone will ask, 'How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?' 36 Foolish one, what you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow the body that will be, but a bare seed—perhaps of wheat or something else. 38 But God gives it a body as He has determined, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: humans have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds have another, and fish have another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The glory of the sun is one kind, the glory of the moon is another, and the glory of the stars is yet another; for star differs from star in glory. 42 So it is with the resurrection of the dead: what is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So it is written: 'The first man, Adam, became a living being'; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that comes first, but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so are those who are of the dust; and as is the man of heaven, so are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. 50 Now I say this, brothers and sisters: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled: 'Death is swallowed up in victory.' 55 Where, O death, is your sting? Where, O grave, is your victory? 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 2 Cor 5:10 : 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
- Phil 3:21 : 21 who will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body, through the power that enables him to bring everything under his control.
- Col 2:12 : 12 Having been buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
- 1 Thess 4:14-18 : 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore, encourage one another with these words.
- 2 Tim 2:18 : 18 who have departed from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some.
- Heb 9:10 : 10 They are only regulations concerning food and drink and various ceremonial washings, external ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.
- Heb 11:35 : 35 Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might gain a better resurrection.
- 1 Pet 3:20-21 : 20 They were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it, only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water. 21 This water symbolizes baptism, which now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- 2 Pet 3:7 : 7 But by the same word, the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and the destruction of ungodly people.
- Jude 1:14-15 : 14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied about them, saying, 'Behold, the Lord comes with countless thousands of His holy ones,' 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds they have committed, and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
- Rev 20:10-15 : 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and the one seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them. Each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

- Ezek 37:1-9 : 1 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me all around them, and behold, there were very many bones lying on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. 3 He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I answered, 'Sovereign Lord, You alone know.' 4 Then He said to me, 'Prophesy over these bones and say to them, “Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!”' 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: 'Behold, I am going to bring breath into you, and you will come to life.' 6 'I will attach tendons to you, make flesh grow on you, and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you so that you come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.' 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them, and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. 9 Then He said to me, 'Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it: “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds, and breathe into these slain, so that they may live.”' 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. 11 Then He said to me, 'Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, “Our bones are dried up, our hope is gone, and we are cut off.”' 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'Behold, I will open your graves, my people, and bring you up from them. I will bring you back to the land of Israel.'” 13 Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them, my people. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.

- Matt 20:22-23 : 22 Jesus answered, 'You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?' They said to him, 'We are able.' 23 He said to them, 'You will indeed drink my cup and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with, but to sit at my right or left hand is not mine to give. It is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.'
- Matt 22:23-32 : 23 That same day, the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him and questioned him, 24 saying, 'Teacher, Moses said: If a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.' 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third, and so on through all seven. 27 Last of all, the woman died too. 28 In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her as a wife.' 29 Jesus answered them, 'You are mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven.' 31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you: 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.'
- Matt 25:31-46 : 31 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels are with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; 36 I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ 40 The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me.’ 41 Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry, and you gave me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not take me in; I was naked, and you did not clothe me; I was sick and in prison, and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they too will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not serve you?’ 45 Then he will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’ 46 And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
