  • Lev 12:1-13:59 : 1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2 Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a male child, she will be unclean for seven days, as in the days of her menstruation. 3 On the eighth day, the flesh of the boy’s foreskin shall be circumcised. 4 She must then remain in the blood of her purification for thirty-three days. She shall not touch any holy thing or enter the sanctuary until the days of her purification are completed. 5 But if she gives birth to a female child, she will be unclean for two weeks as in her menstruation, and she must remain in the blood of her purification for sixty-six days. 6 When the days of her purification for a son or daughter are completed, she shall bring to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or turtledove for a sin offering, and give them to the priest. 7 The priest shall offer them before the LORD and make atonement for her, and she will be clean from the flow of her blood. This is the law for a woman who gives birth to a male or a female. 8 But if she cannot afford a lamb, she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons—one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. The priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean. 1 The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: 2 If someone has a swelling, scab, or bright spot on the skin of their body, and it appears to be a skin disease, they must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons, the priests. 3 The priest will examine the infected area on the skin of the body. If the hair in the infection has turned white and the infection appears deeper than the skin, it is a skin disease. After examining the person, the priest will declare them unclean. 4 But if the bright spot on the skin is white and does not appear to be deeper than the skin, and the hair has not turned white, the priest will isolate the person for seven days. 5 The priest will re-examine them on the seventh day. If the infection remains unchanged and has not spread on the skin, the priest will isolate them for another seven days. 6 On the seventh day, the priest will examine them again. If the infection has faded and has not spread on the skin, the priest will declare the person clean; it is only a rash. The person must wash their clothes and they will be clean. 7 But if the rash spreads on the skin after they have been examined by the priest and declared clean, they must appear before the priest again. 8 The priest will examine them, and if the rash has spread on the skin, the priest must pronounce them unclean; it is a skin disease. 9 If someone is suspected of having an infectious skin disease, they must be brought to the priest for examination. 10 The priest will examine the person, and if there is a white swelling on the skin that has turned the hair white and there is raw flesh in the swelling, it is a serious skin disease. 11 It is a chronic skin condition on the skin of their body, and the priest must declare them unclean. The priest does not need to isolate them, for they are already unclean. 12 If the skin disease spreads and covers all the skin from head to toe, as far as the priest can see, then the priest shall examine the person. 13 The priest will look, and if the disease has covered the entire body, turning all the skin white, the priest shall pronounce them clean. If it has turned white, they are clean. 14 But when raw flesh appears on them, they will be unclean. 15 The priest will examine the raw flesh and declare them unclean. The raw flesh is unclean; it is a skin disease. 16 But if the raw flesh changes and turns white, they must go to the priest again. 17 The priest will examine them, and if the area has turned white, the priest shall pronounce the person clean. They are clean. 18 When a person has a boil on the skin that heals, 19 and it leaves a white swelling or a reddish-white spot, they must show it to the priest. 20 The priest will examine it, and if it appears deeper than the skin and the hair in it has turned white, the priest must declare them unclean. It is a skin disease that has broken out in the boil. 21 But if the priest examines it and there is no white hair in it, and it is not deeper than the skin but appears faded, the priest shall isolate the person for seven days. 22 If the infection continues to spread on the skin, the priest must declare them unclean. It is a disease. 23 But if the bright spot remains unchanged and has not spread, it is only a scar from the boil. The priest shall pronounce them clean. 24 If there is a burn on someone's skin and the raw flesh of the burn becomes a reddish-white or pure white bright spot, 25 the priest shall examine it. If the hair in the bright spot has turned white and it appears deeper than the skin, it is a skin disease that has broken out in the burn. The priest must declare them unclean, for it is a disease. 26 But if the priest examines the bright spot and there is no white hair in it, and it is not deeper than the skin but appears faded, the priest shall isolate the person for seven days. 27 The priest will examine them on the seventh day. If the infection is spreading on the skin, the priest must declare them unclean; it is a disease. 28 But if the bright spot remains unchanged, has not spread on the skin, and appears faded, it is only swelling from the burn. The priest shall pronounce them clean, for it is just a scar from the burn. 29 If a man or woman has an infection on the head or the beard, 30 the priest shall examine the infection. If it appears deeper than the skin and there is thin yellow hair in it, the priest must declare them unclean; it is a scaly infection of the head or beard. 31 If the priest examines the scaly infection and it does not appear deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it, the priest will isolate the person for seven days. 32 On the seventh day, the priest will examine the infection. If it has not spread, there is no yellow hair in it, and it does not appear deeper than the skin, the priest shall continue to isolate the person for another seven days. 33 The person must shave, but they must not shave the infected area. The priest will isolate them for another seven days. 34 On the seventh day, the priest will examine the scaly infection. If it has not spread on the skin and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, the priest shall pronounce the person clean. They must wash their clothes, and they will be clean. 35 However, if the scaly infection spreads on the skin after the person has been declared clean, 36 the priest will examine them, and if the infection has spread on the skin, the priest does not need to check for yellow hair; the person is unclean. 37 But if it seems to the priest that the scaly infection has remained unchanged, and black hair has grown in it, the infection is healed; the person is clean, and the priest shall declare them clean. 38 If a man or woman has bright white spots on the skin of their body, 39 the priest will examine them. If the spots on the skin are dull white, it is a harmless rash; the person is clean. 40 If a man loses hair from his head, he is bald, but he is clean. 41 If he loses hair from the front of his head, he has partial baldness, but he is clean. 42 But if there is a reddish-white sore on the bald area of the crown or the forehead, it is a spreading skin disease. 43 The priest will examine him, and if the swelling of the sore is reddish-white on the bald area of the crown or forehead, resembling the appearance of a skin disease on the body, 44 the man is diseased and unclean. The priest must pronounce him unclean; the infection is on his head. 45 Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face, and cry out, 'Unclean! Unclean!'. 46 As long as they have the infection, they are unclean. They must live alone; their dwelling must be outside the camp. 47 If a piece of clothing has a mark of mildew, whether it is a garment of wool or linen, 48 or in the warp or woof of the linen or wool cloth, or in leather, or in any article made of leather, 49 and the mark is greenish or reddish in the garment, leather, warp, or woof, or in any leather article, it is a case of spreading mildew, and it must be shown to the priest. 50 The priest will examine the mark and isolate the affected item for seven days. 51 On the seventh day, he will reexamine it. If the mark has spread in the garment, warp, woof, or leather, whatever the use of the leather, it is a destructive mildew and is unclean. 52 The garment, warp, woof, or any leather item that has the mark must be burned, for it is a destructive mildew; the item must be burned in the fire. 53 But if the priest inspects it and the mark has not spread in the garment, warp, woof, or leather article, 54 the priest is to order the affected item to be washed. He is to isolate it for another seven days. 55 After it has been washed, the priest will inspect it again. If the mark has not changed its appearance, even though it has not spread, it is unclean. Burn it, whether the affected part is on the inside or outside. 56 If, after it has been washed, the priest finds that the mark has faded, he is to tear the affected part out of the garment, leather, warp, or woof. 57 But if the mark reappears on the garment, whether in the warp or woof, or in any leather article, it is spreading. You must burn the item with fire, whatever has the mark on it. 58 If, after being washed, the mark disappears from the garment, warp, woof, or leather article, it must be washed again, and it will be clean. 59 This is the law concerning any mark of mildew on a wool or linen garment, whether in the warp or woof, or on any leather article, to determine whether it is clean or unclean.
  • Lev 15:1-9 : 1 The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: 2 Speak to the Israelites and tell them: If any man has a discharge from his body, his discharge is unclean. 3 This is how his uncleanness will be identified in regard to his discharge: whether his body allows his discharge to flow or whether it blocks it, it is uncleanness. 4 Any bed on which the man with the discharge lies will be unclean, and any object on which he sits will also be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 6 Anyone who sits on an object that the man with the discharge has sat on must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 7 Anyone who touches the body of the man with the discharge must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 8 If the man with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 9 Any saddle or seat on which the man with the discharge rides will be unclean. 10 Anyone who touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening. Anyone who carries these items must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 11 Anyone touched by the man with the discharge who has not washed his hands must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 12 Any clay pot that the man with the discharge touches must be broken, and any wooden object must be rinsed with water. 13 When the man with the discharge becomes clean, he must count seven days for his purification, wash his clothes, bathe himself in fresh water, and he will be clean. 14 On the eighth day, he must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, come before the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting, and give them to the priest. 15 The priest is to offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, making atonement for him before the LORD for his discharge. 16 If a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his entire body with water, and he will remain unclean until evening. 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will remain unclean until evening. 18 If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will remain unclean until evening. 19 When a woman has her menstrual period, her flow of blood will make her unclean for seven days. Anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening. 20 Anything she lies on during her menstruation will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. 21 Anyone who touches her bed must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 22 Anyone who touches any object she has sat on must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 23 If someone touches her bed or anything she has sat on, they will be unclean until evening. 24 If a man has sexual relations with her and her menstrual flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days. Any bed he lies on will also be unclean. 25 If a woman has a discharge of blood for many days outside of her menstrual period, or if the discharge continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as during her menstruation for as long as the discharge lasts. 26 Any bed she lies on during her discharge will be like her bed during menstruation; any object she sits on will be unclean as during her menstrual impurity. 27 Anyone who touches them will be unclean. They must wash their clothes, bathe in water, and will remain unclean until evening. 28 When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count seven days, and after that she will be clean. 29 On the eighth day, she must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 30 The priest is to offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way, the priest will make atonement for her before the LORD because of her discharge. 31 You must warn the Israelites about their impurity, so they do not die by defiling My tabernacle, which is among them. 32 This is the law concerning the man with a discharge and anyone who has an emission of semen that makes him unclean. 33 It also applies to a woman during her menstrual period, to anyone—male or female—with a discharge, and to a man who lies with a woman who is unclean.

Whoever touches them when they are dead will be unclean until the evening. 32 Any object upon which one of their dead bodies falls will be unclean, whether it is made of wood, cloth, leather, or sackcloth. Whatever is used to do work must be put into water; it will remain unclean until the evening, then it will be clean. 33 If any of them falls into a clay pot, everything in it will be unclean, and you must break the pot. 34 Any food that could be eaten but has water from such a pot on it will be unclean, and any drink that could be drunk from such a pot will be unclean. 35 Anything on which one of their carcasses falls will become unclean; an oven or cooking stove must be broken.
