20Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.
3This included ten fattened head of cattle, twenty pasture-fed cattle, and a hundred sheep—besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.
13I have indeed built a high and exalted house for You, a place where You may dwell forever.
11Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:
12Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and carry out my ordinances, and keep all my commandments by walking in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
13He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
1Then Solomon began building the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
3The LORD said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and your plea that you made before Me. I have consecrated this temple you have built by putting My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will always be there.'
12Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night and said to him: "I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
7In all the places where I have moved with all the people of Israel, did I speak a word to any of the tribal leaders of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, saying, 'Why have you not built me a house of cedar?'
6In all the places where I walked with Israel, did I ever say to any of the judges of Israel whom I commanded to shepherd my people, "Why have you not built me a house of cedar?"
18Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, "Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?
17Then David commanded all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.

38If you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, doing what is right in My eyes by keeping My statutes and commands, as My servant David did, then I will be with you. I will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.
9I will give your servants, the woodcutters who cut the timber, twenty thousand cors of crushed wheat, twenty thousand cors of barley, twenty thousand gallons of wine, and twenty thousand gallons of oil.
8Solomon replied to God, "You have shown great lovingkindness to my father David and have made me king in his place.
