Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night and said to him: "I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.

15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
16 I have chosen and consecrated this house so that My name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will always be there.
11 Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:
12 Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and carry out my ordinances, and keep all my commandments by walking in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
47 But it was Solomon who built Him a house.
5 Of all my sons—for the LORD has given me many sons—He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD’s kingdom over Israel.

7 He placed the carved Asherah image he had made in the house about which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon his son: 'In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.
12 At that time Solomon offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of the Lord that he had constructed in front of the portico.
1 Solomon assigned seventy thousand men to carry burdens, eighty thousand men to cut stone in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred supervisors to oversee them.
1 Then Solomon began building the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

29 'May Your eyes be open toward this house day and night, toward the place of which You said, “My name shall be there,” to hear the prayer that Your servant prays toward this place.'
1 Then King David said to the entire assembly, "My son Solomon, the one chosen by God, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great because this temple is not for man but for the LORD God."
4 But that same night the word of the LORD came to Nathan,
5 "Go and tell my servant David, 'Thus says the LORD: Is it you who would build me a house to dwell in?
15 Then Solomon awoke, and it was a dream. He came to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and held a feast for all his servants.
20 'May Your eyes be open toward this house day and night, toward the place where You said You would put Your name, to listen to the prayer Your servant prays toward this place.
4 Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
5 King Solomon offered a sacrifice of 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep and goats. So the king and all the people dedicated the temple of God.
7 In all the places where I have moved with all the people of Israel, did I speak a word to any of the tribal leaders of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, saying, 'Why have you not built me a house of cedar?'
7 Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
22 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven.
5 Judah and Israel lived in safety, each man under his own vine and fig tree, from Dan to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
44 When Your people go out to fight against their enemies, wherever You send them, and when they pray to the LORD in the direction of the city You have chosen and the temple I have built for Your name,
4 The house I am building will be large because our God is greater than all gods.
34 When Your people go out to war against their enemies, wherever You send them, and they pray to You toward this city which You have chosen and the house I have built for Your name,
27 'But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Even the heavens, the highest heavens, cannot contain You. How much less this house that I have built!'
25 You, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. That is why your servant has found the courage to pray before you.
2 However, the people were still sacrificing on the high places because no house had yet been built for the name of the LORD.
