37I will take you, and you will reign over all that your heart desires, and you will be king over Israel.
38If you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, doing what is right in My eyes by keeping My statutes and commands, as My servant David did, then I will be with you. I will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.
39I will humble David’s descendants because of this, but not forever.
5then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David, saying, 'You will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.'
17'There I will cause a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.'
7But the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David because of the covenant He had made with David, promising to give him and his descendants a lasting lamp.
24My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My laws and carefully obey My decrees.
25They will live in the land I gave to My servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their descendants will dwell there forever, and My servant David will be their prince forever.
4Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father's house to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah as leader, and within the house of Judah, He was pleased to choose my father's family. And among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.
5Of all my sons—for the LORD has given me many sons—He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD’s kingdom over Israel.
6He said to me, ‘Solomon your son is the one who will build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.
7I will establish his kingdom forever if he is resolute in keeping My commandments and ordinances, as he is doing today.’
16'Now, LORD, God of Israel, keep for Your servant David, my father, what You promised him, saying: "You shall never lack a man to sit before Me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons are careful in their ways, walking in My law as you have walked before Me."
18Then I will establish your royal throne, as I made a covenant with David your father, saying, 'You will never fail to have a man to rule over Israel.'
10He will build a house for my name, and he will be my son, and I will be his father. I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.
19Yet the LORD was not willing to destroy Judah for the sake of His servant David, because of the promise He had made to give a lamp to David and his descendants forever.
17For this is what the Lord says: David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.
4And you will ensure that the LORD fulfills His promise to me, saying, 'If your sons are careful to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'
10and as they have done since the time I appointed judges over my people Israel. I will subdue all your enemies. Furthermore, I declare to you that the LORD himself will build a house for you.
11When your days are fulfilled and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom.
12He will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever.
13I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never withdraw my steadfast love from him as I did from the one who was before you.
14I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne will be established forever.
11The LORD has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn back from it: 'From the fruit of your body I will set one upon your throne.'
10I will transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and establish David's throne over Israel and Judah, from Dan to Beersheba.
7Now then, tell my servant David: 'This is what the LORD of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people Israel.
36Once I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David:
25'Now, LORD, God of Israel, keep for Your servant David, my father, what You promised him: “You shall never fail to have a descendant to sit on the throne of Israel before Me, if only your descendants are careful to walk before Me as you have walked before Me.”'
35You are to go up with him, and he is to sit on my throne and reign in my place. I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah.'
16I have chosen and consecrated this house so that My name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will always be there.

7Manasseh took a carved idol that he had made and placed it in the temple of God, of which God had said to David and to his son Solomon, 'In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.'
