    36Then the king sent for Shimei and said to him, 'Build a house for yourself in Jerusalem and live here. Do not leave this city to go anywhere else.'

  • 21The king said to Joab, "Very well, I will do it. Go, bring back the young man Absalom."

  • 24So Joab went to the king and said, 'What have you done? Look, Abner came to you. Why did you let him go? Now he is gone!'

  • 12Abner son of Ner and the servants of Ish-bosheth son of Saul went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.

  • 1After the death of Saul, David returned from defeating the Amalekites and stayed in Ziklag for two days.

  • 5Then Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah, who had gathered in Jerusalem because of Shishak. He said to them, "This is what the LORD says: 'You have abandoned me; therefore, I now abandon you to Shishak.'"

  • 31When David's words were heard, they were reported to Saul, and he sent for him.

  • 2So David arose and went over with his six hundred men to Achish son of Maoch, king of Gath.

  • 25In the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt attacked Jerusalem.

  • 14While you are still speaking to the king, I will come in after you and confirm your words."

  • 24David went to Mahanaim, and Absalom crossed the Jordan with all the men of Israel.
