3Dear friends, although I was eager to write to you about our common salvation, I felt it necessary instead to write and urge you to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.
14Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these things, make every effort to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless.
15And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given to him.

24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless in the presence of His glory with great joy,
11We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that your hope may be fully realized.
28And do not be frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation—and that from God.
3We remember your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by the hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father.
5The goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith.
39But we are not among those who shrink back to destruction, but among those who have faith for the preservation of the soul.
