26Now, my lord, as surely as the Lord lives and as you live, the Lord has kept you from shedding blood and avenging yourself with your own hand. May your enemies and those intent on harming my lord be as foolish as Nabal.
27Now let this gift that your servant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow my lord.
4While in the wilderness, David heard that Nabal was shearing his sheep.
5David sent ten young men and instructed them, "Go to Carmel, find Nabal, and greet him on my behalf.
6Say this to him: ‘Peace to you! Peace to your household, and peace to all that you have!’

25Then Saul said to David, "Blessed are you, my son David. You will do great things and surely prevail." So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.

22Joab fell with his face to the ground in homage, and he blessed the king. Joab said, "Today your servant knows that I have found favor in your eyes, my lord the king, because the king has granted his servant’s request."
16For the king will hear me and deliver me from the hand of the man who seeks to destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.'
17And your servant thought, 'May the word of my lord the king bring me peace, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the LORD your God be with you.'
28Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, 'All is well!' He bowed down with his face to the ground before the king and said, 'Praise be to the Lord your God! He has delivered up the men who raised their hands against my lord the king.'
6So Achish called David and said to him, "As surely as the LORD lives, you have been upright, and your conduct with me in the camp has been good in my eyes. I have found no fault in you from the day you came to me until today. But the rulers don’t approve of you.
20Then David said to the whole assembly, 'Praise the LORD your God.' So the entire assembly praised the LORD, the God of their fathers; they bowed down and prostrated themselves before the LORD and the king.
2So David asked the LORD, saying, "Should I go and attack these Philistines?" The LORD answered David, "Go and attack the Philistines and save Keilah."
29"You must not harm us, just as we have not harmed you but have always treated you well and sent you away in peace. Now you are blessed by the LORD."
7Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.
10David said to Saul, 'Why do you listen to the words of men who say, "David seeks your harm"?'
17Then Eli answered, 'Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of Him.'
