  • 1 Whenever I would heal Israel, the guilt of Ephraim is exposed, along with the wickedness of Samaria. They practice falsehood; thieves break in, and bandits raid outside.

  • 11 But now many nations are gathered against you, saying, 'Let her be defiled, and let our eyes gloat over Zion.'

  • 1 Woe to rebellious children, declares the LORD, who carry out plans that are not mine and make alliances without my Spirit, adding sin to sin.

  • 9 Woe to the one who gains unjust wealth for his house, to set his nest on high, to be safe from the reach of calamity!

  • 16 Therefore, this is what the Lord, the God of Hosts, the Lord says: There will be wailing in all the open squares, and in all the streets they will say, 'Woe, woe!' They will summon the farmer to mourning and professional mourners to lamentation.

  • 6 "Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices in Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

  • 12 Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town with injustice!

  • 7 Doom has come upon you, you who live in the land. The time has come; the day is near. There is panic instead of joy on the mountains.

  • 1 Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming—it is near.

  • 12 Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Israel says: 'Because you have rejected this message and relied on oppression and deceit, leaning on them for support—'
