13 I issue a decree that any willing person from the people of Israel, including the priests and Levites in my kingdom, may go with you to Jerusalem.
14 For you are sent by the king and his seven counselors to inquire about Judah and Jerusalem according to the law of your God, which is in your hand.
15 And to bring the silver and gold that the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem.
16 Together with all the silver and gold you may find in the whole province of Babylon, as well as the freewill offerings of the people and the priests given for the house of their God in Jerusalem.
3 Then the king turned around and blessed the entire assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.
4 He said, 'Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who spoke with His mouth to my father David and has fulfilled it with His hands, saying:

8 Moreover, I issue a decree as to what you are to do for these elders of the Jews in the rebuilding of this house of God: The expenses are to be fully paid to these men from the royal treasury from the tributes of the region Beyond the River, so that the work is not hindered.
19 Also, deliver the vessels that are given to you for the service of the house of your God in Jerusalem.
20 And whatever else may be needed for the house of your God that it falls upon you to provide, you may do so from the royal treasury.
21 And I, King Artaxerxes, hereby issue a command to all the treasurers of the region beyond the river: Whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, may request of you, it must be done promptly,
2 This is what Cyrus, king of Persia, says: 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to build Him a temple in Jerusalem, in Judah.'
3 Whoever among you belongs to His people, may their God be with them, and let them go up to Jerusalem, in Judah, and build the temple of the LORD, the God of Israel. He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
23 Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven must be carried out diligently for the house of the God of heaven, so that there may not be wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons.
16 LORD our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you.

7 I also said to the king, "If it pleases the king, may letters be given to me for the governors of the region beyond the Euphrates, so they will allow me to pass through until I arrive in Judah,
8 and may I have a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the royal forest, that he might give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress by the temple, for the city wall, and for the house I will occupy." And the king granted my requests, because the gracious hand of my God was on me.
5 Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, the priests, and the Levites—everyone whose spirit God had stirred—rose to go up and rebuild the house of the LORD in Jerusalem.
6 Their neighbors supported them with silver articles, gold, goods, livestock, and choice gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings.
7 King Cyrus also brought out the articles belonging to the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and had placed in the house of his gods.

9 'Though we are slaves, our God has not abandoned us in our slavery. He has shown us kindness in the sight of the kings of Persia. He has granted us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, and He has given us a wall of protection in Judah and Jerusalem.'
27 Now you have been pleased to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever in your presence. For you, LORD, have blessed it, and it will be blessed forever.
22 They celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with joy, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria toward them, so that he supported them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.

12 May the God who has caused His name to dwell there overthrow any king or people who attempt to alter or destroy this house of God in Jerusalem. I, Darius, have issued this decree. Let it be done diligently.
15 He said, 'Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who spoke with His mouth to my father David and with His hand has fulfilled it, saying:'
25 I weighed out to them the silver, gold, and articles—the offering for the house of our God that the king, his counselors, his officials, and all the Israelites who were present had donated.
2 The people of Bethel sent Sharezer, Regem-melech, and their men to seek the favor of the LORD.
