4Is this a time for you to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?

13You say, 'What a burden!' and you sniff at it with contempt, says the LORD of Hosts. When you bring stolen, lame, or sick animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands? says the LORD.
14Cursed is the deceiver who has a male animal in his flock and vows to give it, but instead sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great King, says the LORD of Hosts, and my name is to be feared among the nations.
7By presenting defiled food on my altar. But you ask, 'How have we defiled you?' By saying, 'The LORD's table is contemptible.'
8When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you offer lame or sick animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you? says the LORD of Hosts.
9Now plead with God to be gracious to us. Will he accept you? This offering came from your hands. How can he be pleased with you? says the LORD of Hosts.

17'Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their way was as unclean as a woman's impurity in my sight.
11Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.
20The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:
14They wandered blindly through the streets, defiled by blood, so that no one dared to touch their garments.

35Anything on which one of their carcasses falls will become unclean; an oven or cooking stove must be broken. They are unclean, and they will remain unclean to you.
36But a spring or a cistern containing water will remain clean, though anyone who touches one of their carcasses will become unclean.

15They gathered their fellow Levites, consecrated themselves, and went in as the king commanded, in accordance with the words of the LORD, to purify the house of the LORD.
16The priests entered the inner part of the house of the LORD to cleanse it. They brought out all the unclean things they found in the temple of the LORD and carried them to the courtyard of the house of the LORD. The Levites then took them and carried them out to the Kidron Valley.
11If it is an unclean animal that cannot be offered to the LORD as a sacrifice, it must be presented before the priest.
7and those men said to him, "We are unclean because of contact with a dead body. Why should we be excluded from presenting the LORD's offering at its appointed time with the rest of the people of Israel?"
