14Yet you ask, 'Why?' Because the Lord has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant.
5He struggled with the angel and prevailed. He wept and pleaded for favor. He found Him at Bethel, and there He spoke with us.
15Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, with no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, a joy of all generations.
16You will suck the milk of nations; you will nurse at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
19I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth; their names will no longer be remembered.
20On that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds of the sky, and the creatures that move along the ground. I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land, so that all may lie down in safety.

15For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of Hosts is His name.
21Remember these things, Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant. I have formed you; you are my servant. Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.
