2 For you have turned the city into a heap of ruins, the fortified city into rubble; the palace of foreigners will never be rebuilt.

11 The day for rebuilding your walls will come; on that day, the boundary will be extended far and wide.
25 I will turn My hand against you; I will thoroughly purify your dross as with lye and remove all your impurities.

5 The chariots race wildly through the streets; they rush back and forth in the squares. Their appearance is like torches, and they dart about like lightning.

26 No stone will be taken from you for a cornerstone or foundation, for you will be desolate forever, declares the Lord.

6 On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a fire pot in a woodpile and like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples on the right and on the left, while Jerusalem will remain secure in her place.
17 But I will deliver you on that day, declares the Lord, and you will not be handed over to the men you fear.
10 You counted the houses of Jerusalem and tore down houses to fortify the wall.
6 Upon your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will not be silent. You who remind the LORD, take no rest,
16 Warn the nations, proclaim it against Jerusalem: 'Watchers are coming from a distant land; they raise their voices against the cities of Judah.'
9 Then this city will bring me joy, praise, and glory before all the nations of the earth who hear of all the good I do for it. They will tremble in awe because of all the goodness and peace I provide for it.
4 For this is what the LORD says: 'I am going to make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies while you watch, and I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, who will take them captive to Babylon or kill them by the sword.
17 Gather up your belongings from the land, you who live under siege.
6 For this is what the LORD says about the house of the king of Judah: Though you are like Gilead to me, like the peak of Lebanon, yet I will surely make you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.
3 I said to them, 'The gates of Jerusalem should not be opened until the sun is hot. While the guards are still standing watch, let the gates be shut and secured. Also appoint guards from among the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each at his post and near his own house.'
15 It will come against every high tower and every fortified wall.
