13 I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plumb line of the house of Ahab. I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

9 I will raise weeping and wailing for the mountains and a dirge for the pastures in the wilderness, because they are burned up and desolate; no one passes through, and cattle cannot be heard anymore—birds of the sky and animals alike have fled and are gone.

18 Jerusalem, the towns of Judah, its kings, and officials, to make them a ruin, a desolation, an object of hissing and cursing, as they are today.
17 At that time they will call Jerusalem the Throne of the LORD, and all the nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. They will no longer follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts.
8 Be warned, Jerusalem, or I will become alienated from you and make you a desolation, a land uninhabited.
9 On that day, declares the LORD, the heart of the king and the officials will fail; the priests will be horrified, and the prophets will be astonished.
11 And say to them, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty says: I will break this people and this city as one breaks a potter’s jar that cannot be repaired. They will bury the dead in Topheth until there is no more room to bury.’
8 Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.
