  • 12 Neither the kings of the earth nor the inhabitants of the world believed that the adversary and the enemy could enter the gates of Jerusalem.

  • 2 Thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the disaster I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah. Look, they are a ruin today, without anyone living there.

  • 6 I asked, 'Where are you going?' And he replied, 'To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide and how long it is.'

  • 4 The LORD said to him, 'Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and mark a sign on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the detestable things being done within it.'

  • 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle, and the city will be captured, the houses will be plundered, and the women violated. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
