    12They have lied about the Lord and said, 'He won't do anything! No disaster will come upon us; we will not see sword or famine.'

    2Listen to the words of this covenant, and speak them to the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

    3Say to them, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Cursed is the one who does not listen to the words of this covenant.

  • 13This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Go and say to the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: “Will you not accept instruction and obey My words?” declares the LORD.

  • 15You will be a reproach, a mockery, a warning, and a horror to the nations around you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and furious rebukes! I, the LORD, have spoken.

  • 5All this is because of the transgression of Jacob and the sins of the house of Israel. What is Jacob’s transgression? Is it not Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Are they not Jerusalem?

  • 21I have told you today, but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God or anything He has sent me to tell you.

  • 30A terrible and shocking thing has happened in the land:

  • 12All Israel will hear and be afraid, and they will no longer do such wickedness among you.

  • 4Then I thought, 'These are only the poor; they are foolish because they do not know the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.'

  • 17Therefore, this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Behold, I am bringing upon Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the disaster I have spoken against them because I spoke to them, but they did not listen; I called to them, but they did not answer.'

  • 4These are the words the LORD spoke concerning Israel and Judah:

  • 19The LORD has spoken to you, remnant of Judah: Do not go to Egypt. Be certain of this: I have warned you today.

  • 16I will pronounce My judgments against them for all their evil in forsaking Me, burning incense to other gods, and worshiping the works of their own hands.
