21I have told you today, but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God or anything He has sent me to tell you.
22Now therefore be certain of this: You will die by the sword, famine, and plague in the place where you desire to go to settle.
26But hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah living in Egypt: ‘I have sworn by my great name,’ says the LORD, ‘that no one from Judah living in Egypt will ever again invoke my name or swear, “As surely as the Lord GOD lives.”
27Behold, I am watching over them for harm and not for good. Every man of Judah who is in the land of Egypt will perish by the sword and by famine until they are completely destroyed.
28Those who escape the sword and return from Egypt to the land of Judah will be very few. Then all the remnant of Judah who came to live in Egypt will know whose word will stand—mine or theirs.
29This will be the sign to you,’ declares the LORD, ‘that I will punish you in this place so that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for harm:
2Azariah son of Hoshaiah, Johanan son of Kareah, and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, 'You are lying! The LORD our God did not send you to say, ‘Do not go to Egypt to settle there.’
6Then the word of the LORD came to the prophet Jeremiah:
7This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: You are to tell this to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of me: 'Pharaoh's army, which has marched out to help you, will return to its own land, to Egypt.'
11Therefore, this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Behold, I have set my face against you for harm, to cut off all Judah.
12I will take the remnant of Judah who were determined to go to the land of Egypt to live there, and they will all meet their end in the land of Egypt. They will fall by the sword and perish by famine. From the least to the greatest, they will die by the sword and famine. They will become an object of cursing and astonishment, a curse and a reproach.
13And I will punish those who live in the land of Egypt as I punished Jerusalem, with the sword, famine, and pestilence.
14None of the remnant of Judah who have come to live as foreigners in the land of Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah. They are longing to return to live there, but none will return except a few fugitives.
8You provoke me to anger with the works of your hands by burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have come to live, so as to destroy yourselves and make yourselves a curse and a disgrace among all the nations of the earth.
21But if you refuse to surrender, this is the word the LORD has shown me:
2They set out to go down to Egypt without consulting me, seeking protection in Pharaoh's stronghold and taking refuge in the shadow of Egypt.

21So the LORD will make Himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day, they will acknowledge the LORD. They will worship with sacrifices and offerings; they will make vows to the LORD and fulfill them.
7And I said to them, 'Each of you, get rid of the detestable things your eyes are set on, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.'
24Then Jeremiah said to all the people, especially the women, 'Hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who are living in the land of Egypt.
26But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, this is what you shall say to him: 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:
