6The prophet Jeremiah said, 'Amen! May the LORD do so! May the LORD fulfill the words you have prophesied by bringing back the articles of the LORD's house and all the exiles from Babylon to this place.'
7Nevertheless, listen now to this word I am speaking in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people:
15Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, took into exile some of the poorest of the people, the rest of those who remained in the city, the deserters who had defected to the king of Babylon, and the remaining multitude.
1In the ninth year of Zedekiah, king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and his entire army came against Jerusalem and laid siege to it.

7When all the army commanders who were in the countryside, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land and had put him in charge of the men, women, children, and the poor of the land who had not been exiled to Babylon,
