  • Lev 26:40-45 : 40 But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness with which they were unfaithful to me, and also how they walked contrary to me— 41 so that I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their punishment for their iniquity, 42 then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. 43 For the land will be abandoned by them and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their punishment for their iniquity, because they rejected my judgments and their soul abhorred my statutes. 44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them, for I am the LORD their God. 45 For their sake, I will remember the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God: I am the LORD.
  • Deut 30:1-9 : 1 When all these things come upon you—the blessing and the curse that I have set before you—and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you, 2 and you return to the LORD your God and obey His voice with all your heart and soul, you and your children, according to all that I command you today, 3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you. He will gather you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered you. 4 Even if you are exiled to the ends of the heavens, the LORD your God will gather you from there, and He will bring you back from there. 5 The LORD your God will bring you into the land that your ancestors possessed, and you will possess it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors. 6 The LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. 7 The LORD your God will place all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you and persecuted you. 8 And you will again obey the LORD and follow all His commandments that I am giving you today. 9 The LORD your God will make you successful in all the work of your hands—in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land. The LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your ancestors, 10 if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, keeping His commandments and statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and soul. 11 For this commandment that I am giving you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it beyond your reach. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us to bring it to us so we may hear it and do it?’ 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross the sea for us and bring it to us so that we may hear it and do it?’ 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so that you can do it. 15 See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and judgments, so that you may live and multiply, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you do not obey, and if you are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish and will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life, so that you and your descendants may live, 20 loving the LORD your God, obeying His voice, and holding fast to Him. For He is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—to give them.
