Ten portions fell to Manasseh, in addition to the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is beyond the Jordan.
For the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance among his sons. The land of Gilead belonged to the rest of the descendants of Manasseh.
The territory of Manasseh stretched from Asher to Michmethath, which is near Shechem. Then the boundary ran southward to the inhabitants of En Tappuah.
The land of Tappuah belonged to Manasseh, but Tappuah itself, on the boundary of Manasseh, belonged to the descendants of Ephraim.
The boundary descended to the Wadi Kanah, southward of the wadi. These towns belonged to Ephraim within the towns of Manasseh. The boundary of Manasseh was on the north side of the wadi and ended at the sea.
To the south, the land belonged to Ephraim; to the north, it belonged to Manasseh. The sea formed its boundary. Manasseh touched Asher on the north and Issachar on the east.
