7The LORD said to Joshua, 'Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, so that they may know that just as I was with Moses, I will be with you.'

7Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel: 'Be strong and courageous, for you will bring this people into the land that the LORD swore to their ancestors to give them, and you shall divide it among them as their inheritance.'
1When all the kings of the Amorites west of the Jordan and all the kings of the Canaanites by the sea heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan to allow the Israelites to cross, their hearts melted, and they lost all courage because of the Israelites.
7The people served the LORD throughout the lifetime of Joshua and the elders who outlived him and had seen all the great works the LORD had done for Israel.
9Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

8After Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets before the LORD went forward, blowing their trumpets, and the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD followed them.
15As the LORD had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did as instructed. He left nothing undone from all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
42Joshua captured all these kings and their lands at one time because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.

21At that time, I also commanded Joshua, saying, 'Your own eyes have seen everything the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms where you are crossing over.'

3The LORD your God himself will cross ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall take possession of them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.
9Joshua said to the Israelites, 'Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.'
15Then Joshua, along with all Israel, returned to the camp at Gilgal.
5When you hear the sound of a long blast from the ram’s horn, have all the people give a loud shout. Then the wall of the city will collapse, and the people will go up—each straight ahead.
