  • Matt 25:14-30 : 14 For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his own servants and entrusted his belongings to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey immediately. 16 The servant who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 In the same way, the servant who had two talents also gained two more. 18 But the servant who had received the one talent went away, dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master’s money. 19 After a long time, the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The servant who had received five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted me with five talents; see, I have gained five more.’ 21 His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 The servant who had received two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.’ 23 His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 Then the servant who had received one talent came and said, ‘Master, I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ 26 His master answered, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! You knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered. 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return, I would have received it back with interest. 28 So take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has, more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken away from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them warning from Me. 18 If I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to warn him to turn from his wicked ways to save his life, that wicked person will die in his sin, but I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19 But if you warn the wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die in his sin, but you will have saved yourself. 20 Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and does wrong, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die in his sin. His righteous acts will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 21 But if you warn a righteous person not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he heeded the warning, and you will have saved yourself.

If they had taken warning, they would have saved their lives. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person will die for their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood. 7 Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. So hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 9 But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, but you will have saved yourself.

  • Rom 12:4-8 : 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members serve the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophecy, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then do so generously; if it is leading, do it diligently; if it is showing mercy, do it cheerfully.

  • 1 Cor 3:5-9 : 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters are one, and each will receive their reward according to their own labor. 9 For we are God’s coworkers; you are God’s field, God’s building. 10 According to the grace God has given me, like a wise master builder, I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each one should be careful how they build.
  • 1 Cor 12:4-9 : 4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different kinds of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of workings, but the same God works all of them in all people. 7 To each one, the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one, a message of wisdom is given through the Spirit; to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 to another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing by that one Spirit; 10 to another, miraculous powers; to another, prophecy; to another, distinguishing between spirits; to another, different kinds of tongues; to another, the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He distributes them to each one just as He wills. 12 Just as the body is one but has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Indeed, the body is not one member but many. 15 If the foot should say, 'Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,' it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, 'Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,' it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has arranged the members, each one of them, in the body just as He desired. 19 If they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But as it is, there are many members, yet one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you,' nor can the head say to the feet, 'I have no need of you.' 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable. 23 And the parts of the body that we think are less honorable, we bestow greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 whereas our presentable parts have no need of it. But God has composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, guidance, and different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you a more excellent way.
