And David said to God, I have sinned greatly because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech you, remove the iniquity of your servant; for I have acted very foolishly.

21 For your word's sake, and according to your own heart, you have done all these great things, to make your servant know them.
23 How many are my iniquities and sins? make me know my transgression and my sin.
3 Therefore David said to the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? And how shall I make atonement, that you may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
47 Yet if they shall come to themselves in the land where they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication to you in the land of those who carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
