13Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will eat no meat as long as the world stands, lest I make my brother stumble.

8Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.
4Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, is not proud,
6And these things, brothers, I have applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, so that none of you be puffed up for one against another.
7Therefore, as you abound in everything, in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us, see that you abound in this grace also.
8I speak not by commandment, but as a test of the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.
6And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control patience; and to patience godliness;
7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.
8For if these things are in you and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
19Again, do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ, but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edification.
1Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
9And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment;
23All things are lawful for me, but not all things are beneficial: all things are lawful for me, but not all things build up.
14Let all that you do be done with love.
5That in everything you are enriched by him, in all speech, and in all knowledge;
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
16For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
19Therefore let us pursue the things that lead to peace and the building up of one another.
13And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord has given us for edification and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
19What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything?
3According to his divine power, he has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to glory and virtue:
14And I myself am also persuaded of you, my brethren, that you are also full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1We who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
6Even though I am unskilled in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been thoroughly revealed among you in all things.
12Even so you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that you may excel to the edification of the church.
8And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love will cover a multitude of sins.
