11And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,
12That you not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
5Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith:
8But hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled;
36For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
15And that from childhood you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
4To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ.
7To those who by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:
4So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:
22Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
4That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;
5Not in passionate lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God:
22Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
15Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
