3 Among whom also we all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control patience; and to patience godliness;
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conduct and godliness,
22 That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began;
7 That having been justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
9 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment;
19 Who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
7 But refuse profane and old wives' tales, and exercise yourself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profits little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
12 Having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
14 And let our people also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, that they may not be unfruitful.
1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
