    13As soon as you come into the city, you shall find him immediately, before he goes up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he comes, because he blesses the sacrifice; and afterward those who are invited eat. Now therefore go up; for about this time you shall find him.

    14And they went up to the city: and when they came into the city, behold, Samuel came out towards them, to go up to the high place.

    15Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,

    23And he went there to Naioth in Ramah; and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

    24And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in the same manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

    5After that you shall come to the hill of God, where the garrison of the Philistines is: and it shall happen, when you come there to the city, that you shall meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tambourine, and a flute, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

    6And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you shall prophesy with them, and will be turned into another man.

Therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.

  • 15Then Samuel arose and went up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.

  • 23And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the donkey, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

  • 8And it came to pass on the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

  • 5And behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field, and Saul said, "What troubles the people, that they weep?" And they told him the news of the men of Jabesh.

  • 10And the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant hears.

  • 16And it came to pass, when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, that Saul said, Is this your voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice and wept.
