30 Nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be handed over to the king of Assyria.
13 Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God; and let the LORD do what is good in his sight.
12 And behold, God himself is with us as our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to sound alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the LORD God of your fathers; for you shall not prosper.
1 After these events and their establishment, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered into Judah, and camped against the fortified cities, thinking to conquer them for himself.
2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come and intended to fight against Jerusalem,
3 He consulted with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains outside the city, and they helped him.
12 O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great company that comes against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.
13 Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of those lands able to deliver their lands out of my hand?
14 Who among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed was able to deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?
15 Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you in this manner, nor believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand and from the hand of my fathers, how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?
15 And he said, Listen, all Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat, Thus says the LORD to you: Do not be afraid or dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's.
17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.
10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nothing; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
