9Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, I have given to your master's son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house.
10You therefore, and your sons, and your servants, shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in the fruits, that your master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth your master's son shall always eat bread at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11Then Ziba said to the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so shall your servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
12And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.
13So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he continually ate at the king's table; and he was lame in both his feet.
24And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.
25And it came to pass, when he came to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said to him, Why did you not go with me, Mephibosheth?
26And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me; for your servant said, I will saddle an ass for myself, that I may ride on it and go to the king, because your servant is lame.
27And it came to pass, when David came to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash from Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel from Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim,
3And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he remains at Jerusalem: for he said, Today shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
4Then the king said to Ziba, Behold, yours are all that belonged to Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech you that I may find grace in your sight, my lord, O king.
5And when King David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
29And the king said to him, Why speak any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.
30And Mephibosheth said to the king, Yes, let him take all, as long as my lord the king has come again in peace to his own house.
31And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim and went over the Jordan with the king, to conduct him over the Jordan.
7But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
8But the king took the two sons of Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal, the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel, the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
19Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, Send me David your son, who is with the sheep.
3And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and have lived there as strangers until this day.
4And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled; and as she hurried to flee, he fell, and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth.
3And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said to the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray you, come out and be with you, until I know what God will do for me.
4And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the stronghold.
5And the prophet Gad said to David, Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
1Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David had returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had stayed two days in Ziklag;
2On the third day, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes torn and earth upon his head: and when he came to David, he fell to the ground and paid respect.

32And King David said, Call Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada to me. And they came before the king.

15And David said to him, Can you bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear to me by God, that you will neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring you down to this company.
11Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they all came to the king.
7Now therefore thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepfold, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
8And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul your enemy, who sought your life; and the LORD has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his descendants.
9And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
12And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and with a beautiful countenance, and good to look upon. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
5And David sent messengers to the men of Jabeshgilead, and said to them, Blessed be you of the LORD, that you have shown this kindness to your lord, even to Saul, and have buried him.
57When David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
9Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
7But show kindness to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be among those that eat at your table; for so they came to me when I fled because of Absalom your brother.
8Now therefore, so shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
12From Syria, Moab, the children of Ammon, the Philistines, Amalek, and from the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
15And Ishbosheth sent and took her from her husband, from Phaltiel the son of Laish.
