Then he came to Derbe and Lystra, and behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain woman who was a Jew and believed; but his father was a Greek.

    15When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay. And she persuaded us.

    16And it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling.

  • 19But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

  • 15But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace,

  • 1Paul and Timothy, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

  • 22But you know his proven character, that, as a son with his father, he has served with me in the gospel.
