And when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to each other, Certainly this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, justice does not allow to live.

    32Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.

  • 10And said to them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will result in disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also of our lives.

  • 7But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great force took him away out of our hands,

  • 26However, we must be cast upon a certain island.

  • 18When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge against him of such things as I supposed:

  • 17But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be fully preached through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered from the mouth of the lion.

  • 7For every kind of beast, and of bird, and of serpent, and of things in the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.

  • 22For God will hurl upon him, and not spare; he would gladly flee out of His hand.

  • 19When her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the rulers.

  • 21But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them are lying in wait for him, who have bound themselves with an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him. And now they are ready, waiting for a promise from you.
