7And he named the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the children of Israel, and because they tested the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
26And said, If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do what is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD who heals you.
27And they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water, and seventy palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
15Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought you water out of the rock of flint;

11Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod, and water came out abundantly; and the congregation and their livestock drank.
13This is the water of Meribah, because the children of Israel contended with the LORD, and He was sanctified among them.
15He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as from the great depths.
16He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
2And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.
14For you rebelled against my command in the desert of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: this is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

4Then the LORD said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain amount every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
5And why have you made us come up out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It is not a place of grain, or figs, or vines, or pomegranates; nor is there any water to drink."
16And from there they went to Beer: that is the well of which the LORD spoke to Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
32And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commands: Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations, that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.
