For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, 'No one sees me.' Your wisdom and your knowledge have perverted you; and you have said in your heart, 'I am, and there is none else besides me.'

3The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, whose dwelling is high; who says in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
5By your great wisdom and by your trading you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches:
6Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have set your heart as the heart of God;
7Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the most terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.
17Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.
18You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trading; therefore I will bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who behold you.
19All who know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.
15Woe to them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?

22And if you say in your heart, Why have these things come upon me? For the greatness of your iniquity your skirts are uncovered, and your heels made bare.
13For he says, By the strength of my hand, I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the boundaries of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have brought down the inhabitants like a valiant man;
4For you have said, 'My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in your eyes.'
17And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
18Your way and your deeds have procured these things for you; this is your wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reaches to your heart.
6Your habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, says the LORD.
10You are wearied by the length of your way; yet you did not say, There is no hope: you have found the life of your hand; therefore you were not grieved.
4Why do you boast in the valleys, your flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? Who trusted in her treasures, saying, Who will come against me?
13For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
10You have consulted shame to your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned against your soul.
37Yes, you shall go forth from him, with your hands upon your head: for the LORD has rejected your confidences, and you shall not prosper in them.
25This is your lot, the portion of your measures from me, says the LORD; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
21These things you have done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether like you: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before your eyes.

16Your terribleness has deceived you, and the pride of your heart, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who hold the height of the hill. Though you make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there, says the LORD.
10Thus says the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time, things shall come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought:
30How weak is your heart, says the Lord GOD, seeing you do all these things, the work of an imperious, whorish woman;
31In that you build your eminent place at the head of every way, and make your high place in every street; and have not been as a harlot, that scorns payment;
7As much as she has glorified herself, and lived luxuriously, give her that much torment and sorrow: for she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
17But you have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on you.
7You know that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of Your hand.
18And the LORD has given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then you showed me their doings.
17Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
57Before your wickedness was discovered, as at the time of your reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, who despise you round about.
19Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that my fear is not in you, says the Lord GOD of hosts.
8Behold, you trust in deceptive words that cannot profit.
13Why does the wicked despise God? He has said in his heart, You will not require it.

13You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you trusted in your own way, in the multitude of your mighty men.
