  • 22Behold, I will command, says the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.

  • 12The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy could enter the gates of Jerusalem.

  • 6Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, says the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of heaven, says the LORD.

  • 4And the LORD said to him, Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry for all the abominations that are done in it.

  • 2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women violated; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

  • 17Zion spreads forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD has commanded concerning Jacob that his adversaries should be all around him: Jerusalem is like a menstruous woman among them.
