18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
1 Now it happened, when Adonizedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai and utterly destroyed it—just as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king—and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel and were among them,
2 that they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty.

4 Come up to me and help me, so that we may attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.
5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites—the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon—gathered themselves together and went up, they and all their armies, and encamped before Gibeon and made war against it.
1 And it happened, when all the kings on this side of the Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and along all the coasts of the great sea opposite Lebanon, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it;

3 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and to Ai,

12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, Joshua took, and struck them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded.
13 But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only; that Joshua burned.
14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the livestock, the children of Israel took for a prey to themselves; but every man they struck with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, leaving none that breathed.
20 And it happened, when Joshua and the children of Israel finished slaying them with a very great slaughter, until they were consumed, that the rest who remained entered into fortified cities.
21 And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace. None moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
7 So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they attacked them.
8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them, and chased them to great Zidon, and to Misrephothmaim, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they struck them, until they left none remaining.
39 And he took it and its king and all its cities; they struck them with the edge of the sword and utterly destroyed all the people who were in it. He left none remaining, as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir and its king, as he had done to Libnah and its king.
40 So Joshua defeated all the land: the mountain country, the South, the lowland, and the wilderness slopes, and all their kings; he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded.
41 And Joshua conquered them from Kadesh Barnea as far as Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even as far as Gibeon.
42 All these kings and their land Joshua took at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.
20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might find no favor, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.
21 And at that time Joshua came, and cut off the Anakim from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
22 There was none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, some remained.
23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
30 And the LORD delivered it and its king into the hand of Israel; he struck it with the edge of the sword, and all the people who were in it; he left none remaining in it, but did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.
22 And the others issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side and some on that side; and they struck them so that none of them remained or escaped.
20 All the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel,
11 And you went over Jordan, and came to Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.
15 And Joshua made peace with them, and made a treaty with them, to let them live: and the leaders of the congregation swore to them.
16 And it happened at the end of three days after they had made a treaty with them, that they heard that they were their neighbors, and that they lived among them.
26 For Joshua did not draw his hand back, with which he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
27 Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey for themselves, according to the word of the LORD which he commanded Joshua.
10 And Joshua said, By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.

16 But of the cities of these people, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes:
17 But you shall utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD your God has commanded you:
17 And there was not a man left in Ai or Bethel who did not go out after Israel; and they left the city open and pursued after Israel.
5 And when all these kings met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
18 And the children of Israel did not strike them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation complained against the leaders.
7 As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:
