18In Ramah there was a voice heard, lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they were no more.
47Woe to you! for you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
12Now brother shall betray brother to death, and father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
7And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of those who seek their lives: and their corpses will I give to be food for the birds of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth.
17But woe to those who are with child, and to those who nurse infants in those days!
20Lift up your eyes, and behold those who come from the north: where is the flock that was given to you, your beautiful flock?
28There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women violated; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
13For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, who have shed the blood of the just in her midst,
49I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not take me; but the Scriptures must be fulfilled.
3And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all who burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

13Therefore it has come to pass, that just as He called and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear, says the LORD of hosts:
52Which of the prophets have your fathers not persecuted? And they have killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you have now become the betrayers and murderers,
34Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in the ashes, you leaders of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and your dispersions are fulfilled; and you shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
3Their blood they have shed like water all around Jerusalem, and there was no one to bury them.

27I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? When shall it once be?
35And the vine dressers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
