  • 12Thus says the LORD: Though they be at peace and likewise many, yet they shall be cut down when he passes through. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

  • 11For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.

  • 14And shall say, Cast up, cast up, prepare the way, take the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.

  • 15And I am very displeased with the nations at ease; for I was a little angry, and they helped forward the affliction.

  • 29The people of the land have used oppression, and committed robbery, and have wronged the poor and needy: yes, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

  • 11Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

  • 10And it shall come to pass, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

  • 11Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, says the LORD.

  • 14Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he plundered?

  • 2The Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob, and has not pitied: He has thrown down in His wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He has brought them down to the ground: He has defiled the kingdom and its princes.

  • 8The priests did not say, Where is the LORD? and those who handle the law did not know me: the shepherds also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
